Official sources take precedence
Where a tool depends on rules, rates or bank holidays, we link the official UK source (such as GOV.UK, HMRC or the NHS), show the last-updated date, and update the page when things change, for example at the start of each tax year on 6 April. There may be a delay between an official change and our update, so rely on HMRC, your employer, your lender or your contract for the final figures.
